Hi, my name's Stuart, and I'm one of your guides to the Ravenous Superthreat. I'm a futurist (check out my survival profile), so it's with mixed feelings that I see people, faced with just 23 years on the clock, finally paying proper attention to tomorrow. Here in Hawaii, for instance, many are starting to realise what it means to be the most isolated island chain in the world -- we need to stick together! And that's true no matter where you are. Lately, pondering the sight of near-empty supermarket shelves, grounded planes, and boarded-up beachside mansions, I've had occasion to think of Dator's second law of the future: "Any useful statement about the future should appear to be ridiculous." So here's one: We will all come out of this better, stronger, and more hopeful than ever. Hey, it might seem hard to believe now, but stories flowing in from all over the planet offer hope that the tide is slowly turning. Share yours -- it can relate to whatever you're experiencing that relates to the Ravenous Superthreat. If you're unsure where to begin, try our weekly story challenge. But we're interested in hearing any story you want to tell. Meanwhile, my commitment is to keep you up to date on our progress towards making the "ridiculous" inevitable: defeating the food crisis, and thriving together for generations to come!

The hardest thing I've ever had to face was explaining the GEAS report to my children, aged five and seven. My desire to see them both live beyond 30 lead me to join Superstruct and become a guide to the Ravenous Superthreat.

My name is Josh (aka mrjudkins) and I'm looking forward to collaborating with you to find new ways of feeding ourselves and our communities. If you haven't already, you can start by sharing a story about what you've been going through, and then join in on the discussions.

I'm confident that together we can push that survival horizon out – perhaps even indefinitely.
