No Rest for the Exiled...

Build Instead of Crying for the Past
Simona_Pink_Twoo

The Pink Dragons worked to improve the condition of people forced to relocate from their countries because of natural disasters. We started in 2008 with one team and one campus in California, and now, in 2019, we have 10 US based teams and 10 in Asia (China, Vietnam, Phillipines etc) and Europe (Switzerland, Norway etc).  One of the innovations we brought is the rapid advance from the refugee status into the guest worker type. Practically, instead letting people to endlessly sob for their lost homes, soon after they arrive at our camps, we enter them in educational programs that allow them to focus on building new skills and new lives. This program is combined with psychological and social assistance. When people end the program, we facilitate them the opportunities for credit cards, job openings, visa related matters and housing matters, so they can have a fresh start and build a new life.

Why credit cards? I want more stories! Tell me about how you're helping them find jobs. What is the reaction in the communities you're helping them resettle in. How has the governments responded to this? How are governments making the move from treating these people as refugees to guest workers? How are you dealing with the short term nature of guest worker VISAS? How are traditionally closed counties like Norway facilitating people moving into the workforce in their profession (back at the millenium you needed to complete your university studies all over again to be able to work in your profession)? My head is swirling with questions and ideas, good job!

I'm with mudmama. With the credit collapse of ten years ago and the hackers being what they are today, credit cards are a really terrible idea both economically and for the individual. However, pretty much everything else is awesome. Thumbs up. Do you have connections with the federal governments of these countries?
