This is where you can discuss the Geocache Superstruct, which can be found here: http://www.superstructgame.org/SuperstructView/292. Things to discuss here would bt things like different types of caches, standardized listings, districbution of caches across an area, and other superstructs that could collaborate with this one.

Don't know if this is any use to you, but, have you thought of Virtual Geocaching. Obviously works only for data (files, vids, pics etc) but has real potential, for example a charity or organisation working in deprived areas or with those who have contracted ReDS or groups that support refugees or the poor within their own country. This is a small example. using your webphone (chinese copy, 4th gen, heavily hacked, really ugly and a lousy colour) you arrive at the address given to you, the phone is configured to retrieve the info only at this location and after security protocols have been confirmed. The data could be a meeting point with refugees, the actual location of medical supplies or food, all sorts of possibilities present themselves, what do you think?

Another spin I've seen is geohashing (http://wiki.xkcd.com/geohashing/Main_Page). In short, people use a slightly random number generation system to distill a combination of longitude/latitude coordinates, and meet up there at a specified time. It's been called a 'Random Adventure Generator'. I think creating and expanding geohashing groups is a great way to recruit new SEHI's into the project.

I think that really, this idea will have to be customized for each individual circumstance, whether it be for a network of small, isolated communities, or a postal network, and the best we can do is to make sure that people know about it, raise awareness, and get the knowledge out there
